About the job 

 

We are seeking a strategic, execution-focused Senior, IoT Solution Product Marketing Manager to drive measurable go-to-market impact across SAS’s Internet of Things (IoT) portfolio. This role serves as the critical bridge between industry strategy, product management, and sales—ensuring IoT solutions are well-positioned to drive pipeline outcomes 

 

This is a hands-on role with direct ownership of priority IoT solutions.  You will be accountable to create repeatable winning strategies, including differentiated positioning, value-based messaging, product requirements, customer evidence, content, demo readiness, sales enablement, and activation—ensuring solutions are consistently activated across content connected to campaigns, prioritized regions, and sales motions. 

 

Success in this role is measured by portfolio revenue and pipeline contribution and speed of go-to-market execution. You will also shape portfolio priorities, identify gaps across messaging and assets, and establish repeatable operating models that improve clarity, accountability, and business impact.  

 

As a Senior, IoT Solution Product Marketing Manager, your responsibilities will include: 

Solution Product Marketing Strategy & GTM Prioritization 

  • Own the development and annual delivery of IoT solution product marketing plans aligned to industry business plans, IoT portfolio priorities, and go-to-market objectives. 

  • Evaluate solution-level dashboards (e.g., product health, adoption, pipeline, and campaign performance) to inform GTM prioritization, messaging adjustments, and solution activation decisions. 

  • Market Research: Conduct and synthesize research across the rapidly evolving agentic software market, collecting insight from competitors, customers, sellers, customer success, analysts and industry experts to shape product roadmap and drive go-to-market execution. 

  • Advise Industry & Vertical Solutions and GTM Interlock leadership on IoT portfolio alignment, solution focus areas, and emerging opportunities.  

  • Product Evangelism: Serve as the subject matter expert representing IoT with analysts, partners, customers, and industry events.  Work with analyst relations and external communications team to develop an analyst and media engagement plan showcasing SAS thought leadership and competitive differentiation 

Solution Readiness, Positioning & Go-to-Market Execution  

  • Positioning & Messaging: Develop clear, compelling product positioning and value propositions based on pain points and business objectives that resonate with prospects and customers. Translate product functionality and technical details into user benefits and value  

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build partner ecosystem strategies and lead product launches for SAS IoT’s holistic portfolio by coordinating efforts across GTM and R&D teams. 

  • Establish clear expectations, decision criteria, and readiness standards to ensure consistent, high-quality launches.  

  • Market Activation: Lead strategic solution activation through integrated go-to-market programs to drive awareness, credibility, and pipeline in support of portfolio growth. 

Sales & Partner Enablement  

  • Lead the creation of solution sales enablement materials, and customerjourney assets that support demos, buyer education, and considerationstage sales conversations. 
  • Ensure enablement assets are aligned to sales plays, campaigns, and regional execution needs. 
  • Partner with Sales Enablement and field leadership to continuously improve solution adoption and effectiveness. 
  • Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related discipline.  
  • Typically requires eight years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Consulting or related function in the technology industry, preferably in product marketing
  • Proven experience driving pipeline impact, sales enablement, and GTM execution in a matrixed organization.
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

  • Strong cross-functional leadership and influencing skills.  
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on measurable impact and continuous improvement.
