Project Manager (Public Sector Focus)
Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager to oversee all aspects of project delivery—from planning and budgeting to execution and successful completion. In this role, you will guide cross‑functional teams, ensure high‑quality outcomes, and maintain alignment with SAS’ overall strategy, commitments, and goals.
This position is ideal for someone with strong project leadership experience within a services delivery environment, especially working with public and commercial sector clients.This is a UAE‑based role and requires performing the work from the United Arab Emirates.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a detailed project plan to track and monitor progress.
- Lead and/or coordinate project planning, resourcing, staffing, subcontracting, progress reporting, troubleshooting, and team alignment.
- Communicate and report regularly on project status, ensuring results meet requirements for quality, reliability, schedule, and cost.
- Monitor project performance and recommend schedule changes, cost adjustments, or resource additions as required.
- Provide direction, guidance, and support to the project team to achieve agreed-upon goals and deadlines.
- Assemble and coordinate project staff while managing resource availability and allocation.
- Present clear and structured updates for stakeholders, including progress reports, issues, and proposed solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and external partners/vendors.
Additional Responsibilities
- Serve as a lead for selected departmental processes.
- Monitor project budgets and track spending.
- Recommend process and procedural improvements to enhance efficiency, service quality, and cost effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of project management experience, ideally within a services delivery organization (a formal PM title is not required, but hands‑on PM experience is essential).
- Strong knowledge of SAS technologies and solutions
- Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written).
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and gain consensus.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong budgeting and financial management capabilities.
- Excellent negotiation, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with public (ministries, government agencies, state entities) and commercial sector clients.
