About the job 

The Global Finance team at SAS is looking for a Sr. Manager, Financial Reporting to ensure accurate, timely financial consolidation and compliance with global reporting standards, supporting strategic decision-making across the organization. This position will strengthen internal controls and streamline reporting processes, reducing risk and improving efficiency for Finance leadership. 

 

As a Sr. Manager, Finance you will:  

  • Prepare the consolidated financial statements inclusive of footnotes and other financial information in compliance with US GAAP
  • Design global operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency
  • Ensure accurate consolidation, analysis and financial reporting
  • Supervise the processing of all year-end reporting requirements
  • Lead global audits and special projects
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the department
  • Experience preparing or supporting SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q) and related disclosures for a public company.
  • Lead compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and internal control frameworks.
  • Monitor emerging accounting standards and regulatory changes impacting financial reporting.

Required qualifications  

  • 12+ yrs of progressive corporate accounting experience including 5 yrs of experience in the following areas of responsibility: consolidations and US GAAP reporting. Experience with a public multinational company is strongly preferred.
  • 5+ yrs of experience in a leadership role including 2 years in a formal management role.
  • Bachelor's degree or educational equivalent in accounting or related field.
  • CPA certification preferred or other recognized accountancy qualification.
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

  • Strong business acumen and financial skills for decision support.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and in-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Expertise in company financial reporting systems.
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Ability to build consensus across cross-functional and cross geographic teams
  • Ability to train staff, as appropriate
  • Ability to guide various accounting functions and ensure results are accurate, timely, reliable and thorough.
