Cashier (Part time) | Onsite | Cary, North Carolina

Monday – Friday – 10:00am – 2:00pm (20 Hours Per Week)

About the job

The Corporate Services team is looking for a part time Cashier to accurately process food service sales transactions while providing excellent customer service to internal and external café patrons

 

As a Cashier, you will:

  • Operate cashier touch screen terminal to key customer charges.
  • Record postage stamp sales daily.
  • Greet and assist.
  • Maintain inventory of candies sold.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications

  • Two years of experience as a cashier or related position. Some experience with credit card transactions.   
  • Course work related to Administrative Office Technology, Secretarial Science, or Business Administration preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • General skills using computer hardware, with a user’s knowledge of various software packages.
  • Good data entry and number recognition skills
  • Experience with using a credit card machine such as Clover.
  • Experience using a POS system for cashiering.
  • Ability to process credit card transactions.
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
