The team you will be working with 

The Public Sector, Healthcare and Procurement Fraud and Compliance team is a team of business and technical subject matter experts and thought leaders for a wide variety of programs and areas that all center on ensuring compliance and reducing waste, abuse and fraud. 

The range includes all aspects of tax, from false return filings to audit selection, and collections enhancement.  A broad range of U.S. and international health care programs, both public and private, as well as broader applications in Medicaid.  We cover vendor risk and procurement integrity across all industries, unemployment insurance, workers’ compensation, lottery integrity, food and income assistance programs, and much more.   

Our team supports pre-sales efforts which typically takes the form of remote and in person customer meetings, presentations and demos, as well as proposal development, conference presentations, authoring impact briefs and whitepapers, and other speaking engagements for market events.  We also provide subject matter support for awarded client projects to help with decision making around implementation, use of data, and integration with customer workflows to improve outcomes and return on investment.  

As an intern, you might:  

• Help our business and technical experts prepare for prospective client meetings by providing relevant research to strengthen the presentations, as well as assisting in presentation development using PowerPoint. 

• Attend prospective customer meetings and potentially take on a formal role in the presentations after learning subject matters from shadowing. 

• Parnter with other team members in the development of marketing materials, drafting industry relevant blogs, and preparing for webinars or in person conference speaking engagements.  

• Support our team experts with market and competitive research. 

• Assist our experts on bid proposal with content research and review, and potentially engage in meetings with partner companies on larger proposal responses. 

Required Qualifications  

• You’re an undergraduate or Master's college student enrolled in an accredited program studying Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, and not graduating prior to December 2026. 
• You have personal, school, or work experience in the use of Microsoft/Microsoft 365 tools, in particular, PowerPoint and Word. 
• You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.  
• Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.  
• Leadership abilities. Your past experiences demonstrate you’ll take initiative and go above and beyond the call of duty. 
• You’re interested in the future of AI and embrace technology.  
• You’re interested in fighting fraud, waste and abuse, upholding the law, and helping both government entities and private firms reduce wasted spending, collect monies owed, and combat both opportunistic and organized crime. 

Preferred Qualifications  

• Previous work/intern/extern experience connected to any government compliance program, or assisting in any form of forensic, analytic or audit engagements or support. 
• Exposure/use of Excel, SharePoint, Outlook or Adobe 
• Experience or exposure to graphics creation or enhancement, in particular:  PowerPoint.

Pay Transparency: The hourly rate for SAS internships is determined by the applicant’s year in school and the position they are hired into. Hourly rates range from $15 – $31 for associate’s/bachelor’s level positions and $29 - $49/hour for master’s/Ph.D positions. Internship roles are not eligible for bonus.
