We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Platform DevSecOps Engineer to join our team. This role combines platform administration, development, and security-focused operations. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in platform upgrades, system monitoring, and ServiceNow development, with a strong understanding of platform security and operational best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Execute platform upgrades, patching, and post-upgrade validations
- Monitor instance health and performance; proactively address performance and stability issues
- Manage instance cloning activities, including preserve rule configuration and post-clone checks
- Install, configure, and support MID Servers, covering both infrastructure and agent-level functionality
- Develop and maintain custom applications, flows, business rules, UI policies, script includes, and other platform components using JavaScript and Glide APIs
- Support integrations via REST, SOAP, and MID Server orchestration with a focus on secure implementation
- Manage credential-related configurations and authentication integrations using Azure AD and LDAP
- Implement and enforce ServiceNow security best practices across the platform
- Coordinate with networking and security teams to validate firewall rules, proxies, DNS, and certificates required for MID Server and platform operations
- Contribute to CI/CD efforts through code deployment, automated testing, and change management
- Maintain detailed documentation for platform configurations, system architecture, and standard procedures
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of development experience on the ServiceNow platform
- Advanced scripting skills with strong knowledge of JavaScript, Glide APIs, and ServiceNow development patterns
- Solid experience with platform administration tasks including upgrades, cloning, and performance optimization
- Expert-level understanding of MID Server setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with secure authentication systems such as Azure AD and LDAP
- Understanding of network concepts (firewalls, proxies, DNS, certificates) relevant to platform and MID Server operations
- Exposure to Agile or DevSecOps methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) strongly preferred
- Additional certifications such as Certified Application Developer, Discovery, or IntegrationHub a plus
- Experience working with ITSM and ITOM modules in enterprise environments
Additional Requirement:
- Must be able to work during EMEA business hours (3 PM – 11 PM) to support distributed global teams and platform operations
