Job Description

JMP, a subsidiary of SAS, is committed to empowering scientists and engineers via our world-class family of statistical software products. For over 35 years, JMP has enabled customers to speed new drugs to market, to design better products and processes, and to figure out how to restore ecosystems. Advancements are made when brilliant people use JMP statistical discovery software to see what they’ve not seen before. If you are a problem solver, a connector, and someone who enjoys helping others, then you might just be the next person to join this dynamic, growing, and global team.

About the job

JMP is hiring a Sr. Product Manager to help shape two major product directions: Natural Language Interfaces and the JMP Marketplace. The statistical software market is shifting to conversational interfaces. JMP is building natural language capabilities that allows scientists and engineers ask questions in plain English and get real statistical analysis back. This PM will define what gets built and when, based on how users actually work with data. You'll own the roadmap for bringing NLI features into JMP. That means choosing which capabilities ship first, testing them with real users, and iterating based on what works. You'll have direct impact on how hundreds of thousands of scientists and engineers worldwide interact with statistical software. The second piece is the JMP Marketplace. Users already share Add-Ins, Data Connectors, and Extensions through this platform. This PM will build the strategy for what functionality belongs in core JMP, what becomes a marketplace offering, and what third parties should develop. You'll define how JMP extends its capabilities while keeping the product focused. This role gives you two distinct challenges. For NLI, you're working at the front edge of conversational analytics. For Marketplace, you're helping to build an ecosystem that expands what JMP can do. You'll write code in JSL or Python, analyze usage patterns, and work with external developers. You get to move fast on emerging technology while building long-term platform strategy!

  • Experience with API design, data connectors, or integration frameworks.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities across multiple product lines.
