About the job 

  

The Customer Intelligence team is looking for a Senior Account Executive to help customers and prospects evaluate their customer engagement strategy and recommend solutions that meet their technical and business requirements.   In this role, you will work to understand key business challenges, present the value that SAS CI360 solutions provide to our customers and build lasting relationships with your accounts. You will be working with our highly valued customers across Canada 

  

This is a great opportunity for a proven sales professional to drive our cloud-native MarTech and Personalization Value Propositions in the Canadian market.  You’ll be expected to leverage existing relationships, as well as develop new ones, to help deliver continued growth across Canada. 

 

Work Location: Position is open to work in Toronto, Canada 

 

As a Senior Account Executive, Customer Intelligence, you will:   

 

  • Leverage targeted account lists to identify and engage with prioritized customers and prospects to position SAS MarTech solutions  
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, influence long-term strategic direction and act as a trusted advisor driving engagement at the C-level with business and technology decision markers.  
  • Provide in-depth industry, business function and MarTech related expertise to facilitate closing deals within the assigned territory.   
  • Work alongside the Pre-Sales and Value Engineering teams to ensure that demonstrations of our solutions address customers’ business and technical objectives.  
  • Initiate and support lead generation activities and integrate strategy into overall account plan. Qualify leads by analyzing business drivers and technical fit.  
  • Use expert domain knowledge to fulfill a wide range of requests for information from prospective customers.  
  • Develop opportunities by managing and influencing requirements to gain a competitive edge. Creates and presents sales proposals and solutions to successfully communicate the value of SAS’ solutions.   
  • Communicate with other departments to create and finalize contracts and set time schedules for services.  
  • Facilitate closure of complex sales. Assists with pricing negotiations and licensing questions.  
  • Complete post-close knowledge transfer to Partners for design/deployment.   
  • Engage with customers to track satisfaction levels and to discover additional revenue opportunities.  
  • Influence go-to-market strategies for SAS MarTech solutions. Provide input to Product Marketing and/or Research and Development by providing information for future product direction 
  • Ensures all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.

Required qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, MIS or other relevant discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a solution selling role within an enterprise software company and in marketing technology or relevant software solutions.
  • Proven background in a sales hunter role within the MarTech space.  
  • Demonstration of a consistent attention to detail in project deliverables with a minimum of 8 years’ successful sales record.  
  • Capability to engage in meaningful business conversations with director-level stakeholders about outcomes and value. 
  • Knowledge of software acquisition cycles and buying influences.  
  • Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to travel as required, up to 50%.  
  • An equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
