About the job

The position is located at the Pune R&D Centre, within the SAS R&D Pune facility, specifically in the SAS9 team. We are seeking Software Developers for Viya 3.5 Platform software to perform builds creation, update the software bill of materials (i.e., third-party dependencies), validate security fixes, execute automated tests, and verify the installation/migration process and performance testing.

You will be joining a friendly team with a broad range of experience, to develop and maintain SAS 94/Viya 3.5 services and products.  

Primary Responsibilities 

• Your primary responsibility will be to enhance and maintain, fix customer and security issues with multiple products and services under SAS Viya 3.5 Platform products.
• Work with customers and technical support for resolution of issues related to security, performance, deployment, configurations etc.
• Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.
• Perform to the unit testing, integration testing, and manual/automated tests functional/performance testing.
• You will be deploying the builds on the test servers.
• Maintain the automated build and deployment scripts.
• Execute automated security tests.
• Validation and testing of multiple SAS Viya 3.5 services and products.
• Work with developers, technical support product managers in analysis of customer report issues and resolution.
• Demonstrate aptitude for problem solving and debugging of complex software systems.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks, tools, and scripts that address specific needs.
• Design and implement test plans (cases, scenarios, usage).
• Identify risks, issues, potential defects, or defects in any phase of the project life cycle, managing them through closure.

Years of Experience: 5 to 9 years

Mandatory Technical Skills: 

• 5-9 years of experience build, installation, deployment, administration of enterprise software.

• Excellent programming skills with Java, Spring MVC, Spring boot, Hibernate, Web Development , REST API.

• Expertise in working on Database centric applications and knowledge of SQL with Postgres, Oracle
• Understanding of OOPs, Design Patterns, SOLID principles.
• Knowledge of Security Scans and tools such as Sync, ZAP etc.
• Experience with fast paced Agile software development methodologies.
• Good debugging skills, logical problem-solving capability, quick and self-learner to adopt and use new technologies.
• Experience with disciplined unit, regression, and integration testing
• Aptitude to work with large Legacy code bases.
