About the job

The SAS Managed Cloud Services (MCS) division within the Cloud and Information Services (CIS) organization is looking for a Cloud Technical Leader (CTL) Offering Manager to support private cloud offerings in the SAS Managed Cloud portfolio. You will join a group of dynamic and motivated professionals to develop and communicate the SAS MCS roadmap and bring new offers and services to market. This opportunity comes at a unique time when our solutions are being transformed, driven by the introduction of the next-generation technology based on our Viya 4.0 platform.

 

A key differentiator in our SAS MCS offering is access to a global team of talented SAS Cloud Service Delivery Managers (CSDMs), Cloud Technical Leaders (CTLs), and SAS Administrators dedicated to delivering world-class operations and exceptional customer experience from contract signature and throughout the customer lifecycle. The CTL/SAS Admin Offering Manager will be responsible for maximizing business value and impact of this key function for both SAS and our Clients across the globe. Ensuring our CTL and SAS Admin functions, core services, and unique business value are proactively embedded into our MCS Offerings and threaded through to Operations. Continuously enable our CTLs and SAS Administrators with expanded role-based, SAS product, MCS offering, and technology training and foster a global CTL/SAS Admin community of practice to share best practices and situational learning from across our MCS fleet to enable effective execution in a rapidly changing SAS product, offering and technology landscape.

 

As a Senior Cloud Technical Lead Offering Manager, you will:

  • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for our CTL and SAS Administrator functions as it relates to our MCS service offerings and capabilities, aligning with SAS and MCS business goals and market demands. Evaluate, reimagine and adopt new ways of working and value that can be driven through AI, Automation and Process Improvement to improve the CTL and SAS Administrator roles.
  • Collaborate with SAS MCS Offering Managers across core HMS, V4, SAS 9, RF&C, CSDM, and LSAF, Pricing, MCS Regional Customer Experience and Sales/Market leaders to ensure the CTL and SAS Admin function and value is embedded into our MCS market offers. Engage our CTLs and SAS Admins across the globe in the market launch, enablement and feedback loop for new and expanded MCS market offers.
  • Continuously enable our CTLs and SAS Admins with expanded role-based, SAS product, MCS offering, and technology training.
  • As the Community of Practice Leader for our Global CTL and SAS Admin community, you will be responsible for building and fostering a vibrant and collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing, best practices, and continuous improvement. Establish and nurture a strong network of CTL and SAS Admin practitioners across the globe, creating opportunities for members to connect, collaborate, and share insights. Facilitate regular meetings, webinars, and workshops to disseminate knowledge, share experiences, and discuss challenges and solutions related to these roles. Develop and promote best practices, standards, and guidelines for the CTL and SAS Admin functions ensuring consistency and excellence across the community globally. Foster active engagement and participation within the community by creating a welcoming and inclusive environment, recognizing contributions, and encouraging collaboration. Gather feedback from community members to assess the effectiveness of the Community of Practice and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop, monitor, analyze and report on business value and impact of the CTL and SAS Admin functions across the globe using a data and KPI driven approach to provide objective CTL and SAS Admin functions and role performance evaluation and continuous improvement actions.
  • Ensure the CTL and SAS Admin offering complies with relevant regional, global and sector regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Engage with SAS MCS customers, market leaders and MCS regional teams to gather feedback, understand their needs, and ensure the CTL and SAS Admin offerings and functions are meeting market expectations.
  • Evangelize SAS Managed Cloud Services benefits and opportunities by attending leadership team meetings, speaking at town halls and other events inside and outside CIS to build understanding and excitement about SAS Manage Cloud Services.

Required qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience, including complex managed services delivery, customer success, and/or account management in the software product or IT services industry.
  • 2+ years as or working closely with Cloud Tech Leads and/or SAS Administrators in support of hosted and remote Cloud customers.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Proven ability to build relationships effectively with leaders across the organization, at the Director level and above.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Hyperscale Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) platform, architecture and commercial principles such as core hyperscaler compute, storage, and network services, integrations, security, performance, and monitoring services.
  • Prior experience with driving product/offering strategy, building business cases, revenue models, market enablement launch for new software products and service offerings.
  • Strong analysis, negotiation, collaboration, facilitation, and presentation skills, including the ability to speak at an appropriate technical and business level for the audience.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Managed Services, Professional Services, SaaS, or XaaS models
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

Additional competencies, knowledge and skills  

  • Knowledge of programming languages, operating systems, utilities, services, and editors for assigned area
  • Technical knowledge of the internal workings, diagnostic tools, and features of software systems
  • Aptitude for visualization of solutions for complex problems
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Application and/or Infrastructure Managed Services, ITIL processes and ServiceNow platform
  • SAS programming and/or SAS product experience, specifically Viya 4, SAS 9, RF&C, and HLS/LSAF platforms and products
  • Financial Services, Government and Life Sciences industry experience
  • Foundational cloud certifications across one or more hyperscalers
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex software product/offering definition and link features to customer value and outcomes
  • Visual thinker who can present complex topics in a simple format for conversation
  • Problem-solver who asks the right questions to get the best solution
