About the job

The Global Industry Marketing Team is looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager who can leverage their extensive Small and Midsize Business (SMB) marketing expertise to lead market engagement strategies for SAS across multiple industries. The optimal product marketer has a proven track record of sales and pre-sales collaboration globally with quantifiable results. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate the eight core competencies of the modern marketer: customer-centric, digital mindset, growth mindset, innovative and creative, analytically curious, storyteller, emotional intelligence, and collaborator.

 

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will:

  • Collaborate closely with senior sales leadership, customer advisory, product management, partner marketing, field marketing and other marketing roles to develop marketing activation strategies that address the data and AI challenges of SMB organizations. 
  • Act as a primary “go to” spokesperson with external audiences. Create and deliver credible and unique viewpoints to differentiate SAS in the market. 
  • Create and communicate positioning and product marketing plans based on SMB use cases.   
  • Develop messaging and content that will be used in global and regional demand generation campaigns designed to generate pipeline for direct and indirect sellers. 
  • Perform analysis of the SMB market to identify key trends and drivers, and use your expertise to form viewpoints on the impact of analytics and artificial intelligenceConfidently share your findings and fact-based opinions within SAS and externally via blogs and/or webinars. 
  • Drive thought leadership activities including articles, whitepapers, blogs, videos, customer reference and story development, speaking engagements and involvement with key 3rd party organizations. 
  • Support direct and indirect sales readiness plans as well as product readiness plans.   
  • Implement innovative ways to curate content to target audiences and regularly provide best practices to support integrated content and communication strategies. 

Required Qualifications

  • Typically requires eight years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Consulting or related function in the technology industry, preferably in product marketing (experience in a specific industry may be used to satisfy this requirement).  
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related discipline.  
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications. 
  • Organizational skills for managing commitments, schedules, and deadlines. 
  • Strong written and verbal skills, including the ability to translate technical information into simple, audience-appropriate language. 
  • Public speaking experience at physical and virtual events. 
  • Ability to travel.
