The Senior Manager, Accounting – Revenue and Billing leads all aspects of revenue recognition and billing operations for the organization. This includes oversight of revenue accounting under applicable GAAP standards, billing system management, and AR collections. This position is responsible for designing and implementing scalable processes that ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency as the company grows and prepares for public company readiness.

What you’ll be doing...

  • Lead revenue accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely recognition of revenue in accordance with ASC 606 and SAS accounting policies.
  • Manage end-to-end billing operations, including invoicing accuracy, system integration, customer communications, and dispute resolution.
  • Direct the accounts receivable function, including credit management, collections strategy, and aging reporting.
  • Drive process improvements and automation in revenue and billing workflows to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Sales Ops, Legal, Product, and FP&A to ensure contract compliance and operational alignment.
  • Lead and support the design of scalable billing and revenue operations as the company transitions to public-readiness.
  • Own audit readiness and support internal and external audits related to revenue and billing.
  • Develop revenue and billing policies and procedures to support financial controls, data integrity, and risk mitigation.
  • Supervise and mentor team members, providing leadership, training, and performance management.
  • Deliver regular reporting and analysis of billing metrics, revenue trends, and collection performance to senior leadership.
  • Act as a liaison between finance and IT for billing system improvements and integrations.
  • Lead ASC 606 training initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring to us…

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with 5+ years focused on revenue recognition or billing in a SaaS or software company
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Public company or IPO experience preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition practices
  • Strong technical accounting and internal control background
  • Experience managing billing platforms and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Ability to drive change in a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
