About the job

The Manager, Build & Implementation – Americas (US, LATAM, Canada) is responsible for leading the execution of SAS Enterprise Software deployments across the U.S., Latin America, and Canada. This role ensures timely, compliant, and high-quality implementations that meet both contractual requirements and regional regulatory obligations. This position reports directly to the Regional Head, Managed Cloud Services – Americas and has a matrixed relationship to the Global Service Owner for MCS Build. While global schedule ownership and planning reside with the Global Build Owner, the regional manager ensures regional build activities are aligned, resourced, and executed successfully, with clear representation of regional priorities and constraints. As a member of the AMER regional leadership team, this role bridges the gap between build and operational readiness, providing leadership continuity from implementation to day-2 operations.

 

As a Manager, Build & Implementation- Americas (US, LATAM, Canada) you will:

 

Regional Representation & Leadership

  • Serve as the voice of the Americas region within the global build execution process, ensuring regional requirements (e.g., FedRAMP, CJIS, data residency) are reflected in implementation practices.
  • Participate in global planning sessions led by the Global Build Owner to align regional capacity and execution against the master schedule.
  • Act as a key stakeholder in regional service delivery reviews, driving awareness of upcoming implementations and their downstream operational impacts.
  • Ensure that unique regional requirements are managed and help establish region specific enablement for Sales.

Build Execution & Coordination

  • Execute regional build work according to the global implementation plan, ensuring assigned deployments meet deadlines, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with Cloud Service Delivery Managers (CSDMs), Cloud Tech Leads (CTLs), Engineering, and Technical Support to manage smooth handoffs from deployment to operational support.
  • In alignment with global standards, track regional build execution progress in ServiceNow, including project milestones, resourcing status, and risk escalation.

Workforce & Resource Management

  • Lead a team of implementation engineers and project contributors supporting builds in the Americas region. This work includes the deployment of SAS Software, upgrades to existing customers, and assisting with customer migrations as required.
  • Co-manage day-to-day coordination with the rest of the global Build team, including resources in EMEA, AP and offshore build resources in Pune to meet project execution timelines.
  • Provide visibility into regional capacity, skillsets, and bottlenecks that impact execution or delivery velocity.
  • Look for and participate in CSI opportunities across global and regional processes and technologies as directed by AMER regional leadership and Global Service Owner for build

Quality & Compliance Assurance

  • Ensure all regional builds adhere to the defined global build service offering, ITSM best practices, and compliance policies.
  • Monitor KPIs such as build duration, quality/rework rates, and adherence to customer requirements in consort with global build service.
  • Partner with the SMO and compliance leads to maintain alignment with governance standards and operational expectations.

Required qualifications

  • US Citizen Required.
  • 8+ years of people management of technical resources.
  • Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline or related.
  • 2+ years of experience in Managed Services or Hosting Services or Consulting or SaaS.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a regulated environment supporting FedRamp or 800-53 or Protected B customers.
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

Preferred qualifications

  • Enterprise Application deployment or configuration.
  • Public cloud experience with either AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Working in a highly matrixed organization.
